I’ve had the strangest flights of thought so far today. Thanks entirely to the unique humans who populate my life.

Before I awoke, I had unusual dreams featuring some favorite characters. Multiple Bonnies. And monkeys. And planes almost missed.

7:12 a.m.

I made sense of the dreams while meditating with Sharon Salzberg on the Ten Percent Happier app.

Then I encountered the two humans I live with every other week.

This morning our discussion was focused primarily on air quality and how it might affect the day’s events.

8:16 a.m.

“It’s been a while since I wore a mask,” Kid 2 said, strapping one on. “It feels unnatural.'“

I dropped them off, hoping their egg drop and field trips don’t get messed up by Canadian wildfire haze. Dismayed imagining how bad things must be in Canada.

8:50 a.m.

Called a friend and acupuncturist in Milwaukee. She’s always good for mind-bending ideas in holistic wellness, among other things. People with open minds tend to open mine. Gonna check my iodine levels.
